ACCOUNTS & TAX EXECUTIVE
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a Singapore-based accounting and tax outsourcing firm. We are looking for an Accounts & Tax Executive to manage a portfolio of clients, delivering accurate and timely year-end accounts preparation, tax compliance, and XBRL filing services. You will work closely with clients across various industries to ensure all statutory obligations are met in accordance with Singapore regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Preparation (Year-End)
• Compile and prepare full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL) for multiple clients on a yearly basis
• Process and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and year-end adjustments
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile all balance sheet items at year-end
• Maintain and update fixed assets registers, including computation of annual depreciation
• Prepare year-end closing of accounts and ensure all entries are complete and accurate
• Prepare financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with SFRS
• Compile supporting schedules and working papers for audit purposes
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit engagement on behalf of clients
GST Compliance
• Prepare and file quarterly GST returns (F5/F7) accurately and on time via IRAS myTax Portal
• Maintain and reconcile GST records for input and output tax claims for each client
• Handle GST queries and correspondence with IRAS on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on GST registration obligations and compliance requirements where applicable
Corporate Income Tax
• Prepare annual tax computations based on audited or unaudited financial statements
• File Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) within 3 months of each client's financial year-end
• Prepare and submit Form C / Form C-S / Form C-S Lite to IRAS on behalf of clients
• Apply relevant capital allowances, tax incentives, and deductions for each client's tax position
• Monitor tax payment due dates and liaise with IRAS on tax matters when required
XBRL Filing
• Prepare and submit XBRL financial statements to ACRA via BizFile+ on behalf of clients
• Tag financial data accurately in accordance with ACRA's requirements (full XBRL or simplified XBRL)
• Perform quality checks on XBRL-tagged financials prior to submission
• Ensure XBRL filings are completed within statutory deadlines alongside annual return lodgement
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
• Assist in preparation and lodgement of annual returns with ACRA via BizFile+
• Maintain proper client financial records in accordance with IRAS retention requirements
• Support CPF contributions reconciliation and payroll-related accounting entries for clients
• Liaise with IRAS, ACRA, CPF Board, and other government agencies on behalf of clients
Client Communication
• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients on all accounting and tax matters
• Follow up with clients to obtain necessary documents and information within agreed timelines
• Respond to client queries promptly and professionally
• Flag any irregularities, issues, or outstanding matters to management in a timely manner
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ACCA / CPA / CA (Singapore) pursuing or completed is an advantage
Experience & Skills
• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm or outsourcing company in Singapore
• Experience handling full set of accounts for multiple clients is required
• Hands-on experience with GST filing and corporate tax (Form C/C-S) preparation
• Familiar with IRAS myTax Portal and ACRA BizFile+
• Proficient in cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB
• Good knowledge of SFRS, GST Act, and Income Tax Act (Singapore)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• XBRL filing experience is an advantage
