Chemical Engineering Technician (WWTP)

Responsibilities:

• Perform equipment, wastewater facilities maintenance and troubleshooting of wastewater treatment machines/processes.
• Support superiors in execution of daily operation activities, such as wastewater transferring, usage of various pump, operating filter press, centrifuge etc.
• Ensuring all equipment (pumps, agitator, blower etc) is in working condition with minimum downtime and regular servicing is carried out
• Ensure all designated equipment/instrumentation calibrations and inspections are up to date
• Adhere strictly by all EHS rules and regulations imposed by the company
• Ensure the treated wastewater compliance with sewer discharge limit.
• To do the daily housekeeping and other 5S/TPM activities in the work area.
• Basic role – Forklift driving, work at height and entering into confined space are required to fulfill daily duties

Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Experience in Waste Water Treatment Plant or Process Industry is advantageous.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email, internet research).
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Able to perform overtime/shift work.

Remuneration:

• Basic salary: $1,900 – $2,700
• Entitled Overtime / Shift Allowances
• Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm); Saturday (8am – 12pm) / Shift Work (Day: 8am – 8pm, Night: 8pm – 8am)
• Company Transport / Transport Allowance ($120) if candidate manages own transport
