Business Development Manager (Precious Metals / Industrial Recycling)

Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within industries such as electronics, semiconductors, electroplating and related manufacturing sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of industrial customers and sourcing opportunities.
- Develop strategies to expand market presence and increase recurring business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments and regulatory requirements relevant to precious metals sourcing activities.
Client Management & Commercial Activities
- Engage prospective and existing customers to understand operational needs and identify commercially viable solutions.
- Work closely with internal technical and laboratory teams to evaluate material recovery potential and business feasibility.
- Prepare proposals, quotations and presentations for customers.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and supply agreements to achieve profitability objectives.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure and account management.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and support the business development team in achieving sales and profitability targets.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews, monitor KPIs and provide coaching to improve commercial effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Laboratory and related departments to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, KYC requirements and relevant industry regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline preferred.
- At least 5 years of B2B sales or business development experience within industrial, recycling, commodities, metals or related sectors.
- Proven track record in acquiring new customers and developing profitable commercial accounts.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring a sales/business development team will be advantageous.
- Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially driven with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with Singapore industrial markets and regional exposure will be beneficial.
- Proficiency in English is required. Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be advantageous to support communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and regional stakeholders.
