Job Description

RAC is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead Oracle HCM data migration workstreams end-to-end on mid-to-large implementations. You will own the migration strategy — from legacy data analysis through object sequencing design, mock run cycles, dress rehearsal, and production cutover — while managing the client data team and mentoring junior consultants.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own the data migration strategy — determining the full object load sequence across all in-scope HCM modules, mapping object dependencies, and designing the mock run schedule that surfaces data quality issues before they become cutover risks

  • Lead legacy data analysis — profiling source system structures, identifying field mapping gaps, data quality issues, and legislative compliance gaps that must be resolved before any load can succeed

  • Design complex transformation logic — building transformations for legislative-specific objects including Calculation Cards, historical salary records with back-dated effective dates, and benefits enrolments that must respect Oracle plan eligibility rules at load time

  • Govern the mock run cycle — setting data quality acceptance criteria per mock round, tracking error rate reduction across cycles, escalating client data team delivery failures, and making the data quality sign-off recommendation to project leadership

  • Plan and execute production cutover — designing the T-minus timeline, the delta data strategy for capturing changes between the last mock and go-live, the verification checklist, and the documented go/no-go criteria

  • Mentor junior Data Migration Consultants — reviewing HDL files and transformation logic, teaching error diagnosis patterns, and building their capability to work independently on assigned object tracks

    • Requirements

      • 2–5 years of Oracle HCM experience with proven end-to-end data migration workstream ownership on at least two live implementations — not just HDL file execution under supervision

      • Expert HDL knowledge: has loaded complex objects beyond Core HR workers (absence balances, benefits, compensation, legislative calculation cards) and resolved their specific failure modes

      • Has designed and executed at least two production cutover migrations including dress rehearsal, delta data strategy, and go/no-go decision

      • Python or SQL proficiency for transformation automation and post-load reconciliation at scale

      • Demonstrated client data team management — has set quality gates, held data owners accountable, and escalated delivery failures through the project governance structure
