Accountant
Job Description
The accountant will focus mainly on financial reporting, month-end closing, and compliance matters for multiple entities. This role supports the Head of Finance and ensures accurate and timely financial information.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the finance team to prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for multiple entities
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and variance analysis to support financial planning
Prepare audit schedules and financial statements, coordinating with external auditors to ensure compliance
Compile consolidated unaudited financial statements for the holding company (dormant) and its overseas subsidiary
Prepare GST submissions in accordance with regulatory requirements
Support preparation of partnership and corporate tax schedules and other statutory filings
Manage company secretarial and regulatory compliance matters to uphold governance standards
Perform intercompany reconciliations and assist in group financial reporting processes
Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies through regular review and control
Execute ad hoc finance duties as assigned by management to support operational needs
Required competencies and certifications
Degree in accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in external audit
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial data management and reporting
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Experience in shipping and/or brokerage industries
