Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, prepare management reports, and support process improvements to strengthen financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full set of accounts including accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
  • Conduct daily audits of order processing systems to identify and resolve irregularities promptly
  • Prepare monthly and annual management reports such as Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Inventory Lists to support informed decision-making
  • Prepare and submit GST returns accurately and on time to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Provide administrative support by handling incoming mail and managing general office matters efficiently
  • Maintain company records, contracts, and filing systems to ensure organized documentation
  • Generate adhoc financial reports upon management request to support business needs and strategic planning
  • Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and company policies to maintain compliance with regulations
  • Manage petty cash transactions with accuracy and accountability
  • Support HR functions including leave administration and processing staff claims to facilitate smooth operations
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and government authorities as required to support external audits and compliance
  • Adapt to and perform adhoc duties as assigned to support team and business operations effectively

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the FMCG industry
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB and MS Office applications
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel to analyze and organize financial data effectively
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, adaptability, initiative, and ability to handle diverse situations
  • Proactive in identifying and suggesting process improvements to optimize financial workflows
