Director of Forensics and eDiscovery

Job Summary

Lead and manage a team specializing in forensic data collection, analysis, eDiscovery, and evidence management, ensuring high-quality client service and delivering expert testimony in legal proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee forensic data collection, analysis, eDiscovery, and evidence management to ensure accurate and timely case outcomes
• Manage client communications and expectations to deliver consistent, high-quality service aligned with client needs
• Review and approve client deliverables and work products to maintain quality standards
• Manage costs and expenses, including planning and executing the annual budget cycle for the business unit
• Support business development by participating in events and creating research and marketing materials to grow the business unit
• Deliver training sessions to internal and external participants to enhance team and client knowledge
• Promote continuous professional development by mentoring and providing technical oversight to team members
• Provide leadership in mentorship, training, and technical guidance to develop team expertise and performance
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings to support case outcomes with authoritative digital forensics insights

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, or a related discipline
• Relevant eDiscovery and digital forensics certifications such as Relativity certifications, Magnet Certified Forensics Examiner (MCFE), SANS certifications (e.g., GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), Cellebrite certifications
• At least 10 years of experience in consulting or advisory roles within digital forensics, eDiscovery, or law enforcement, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
• Experience managing teams in eDiscovery, digital forensics, investigations, or related fields
• Solid knowledge of digital forensics principles, methodologies, techniques, and eDiscovery processes
• Proficiency in tools such as Relativity, Magnet AXIOM, Encase, Cellebrite, Microsoft Purview, or similar platforms
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills to engage stakeholders and explain complex technical concepts clearly
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and experience with scripting or programming is beneficial
• Willingness and flexibility to travel as required
