Safety Coordinator

Roles and Responsibilities

a. Responsibility

• Attend Monthly WSH Committee Meetings
• Conduct Weekly inspection with sub-contractors' Supervisors
• Ensure all machinery and equipment at site are in good working conditions and having all the necessary certificates
• Ensure all workers at site are wearing appropriate PPE at all times
• Conduct weekly safety talk/briefing.
• Ensure proper housekeeping by the sub-contractors on a daily basic
• Conduct daily toolbox meeting with the sub-contractors
• Conduct safety induction programme for new workers.
• Conduct daily safety inspection on site

b. Authority

• Stop any activity/operation if unsafe practice is detected.
• Prevent unauthorized personal entering construction site
• Impose penalties on non-compliance by sub-contractors and workers.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Diploma preferred, in one of the following or related fields: Engineering or Workplace Safety and health ‑related disciplines
• Experience in construction environments will be an advantage.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
