HSE Officer
Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assist the HSE Manager to uphold WSH regulations, requirements and standards for the designated project, actively contributing to compliance monitoring and implementation.
•Drive the implementation and adherence to the group's Integrated Management System (IMS), actively engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
•Ensure timely inspections and audits are carried out and promptly address any identified issues through corrective actions.
•Ensure HSE training is conducted in accordance with the established training program and matrix. Include but not limited to HSE inductions, HSE procedures, Emergency Response.
•Ensure strict compliance with Risk Assessment (RA) thorough hazard identification and evaluation, ensuring comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.
•Lead accident investigations, ensure the implementation of preventive measures, and monitor their effectiveness to prevent recurrence.
•Collaborate in the strategic planning and execution of all HSE promotion and campaign initiatives, ensuring comprehensive coverage and effective implementation for the project.
•Liaise with MOM, NEA, and other relevant authorities regarding HSE matters.
•Perform any additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by the HSE Manager to support the overall objectives and operations of the project.
REQUIREMENTS
•Diploma in engineering advantages.
•Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health or equivalence.
•Other WSH certification advantages. e.g. CSSA, WAHA, RM, OFA, IA, ECO, FSM
•Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower
•Minimum of 5 years of WSH experience in the construction industry.
•Experience in internal audit for ISO 45001, 14001, 9001 and ConSASS.
•Strong understanding of WSH Act, Regulations, Requirements and Standards.
•Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills.
