Job Description

Account Manager – B2B Commercial Construction & Renovation Job Role The Account Manager in this sector is primarily responsible for managing and expanding relationships with business clients (e.g., property developers, contractors, design firms, facility managers) and ensuring the successful delivery of construction and renovation services. You act as the main liaison between the customer and the company, supporting both business growth and client satisfaction. Typical expected delivery are preparing and sales quotations and proposal, negotiating contracts and obtaining signed agreements, planning of revenue and projects forecast for the account, reporting on client meetings, project status and updating of CRM for communication through performance dashboards. Job Scope 1. Client Relationship Management • Serve as the primary contact for assigned business accounts throughout the construction or renovation lifecycle. • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients (developers, contractors, designers, property management companies). • Identify and develop key relationships points at customer, conduct regular client meetings, site visits, and progress reviews to ensure client expectations are met/exceeded. 2. Business Development & Sales Growth • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing accounts as well as new clients in the commercial construction space. • Prepare and present tailored proposals and quotations based on project requirements. • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue KPIs established by management. 3. Contract & Project Coordination • Draft, follow up, and negotiate contracts, scopes of work, and pricing terms with clients and internal stakeholders. • Coordinate internally with project managers, designers, site teams, procurement, and finance to align deliverables and timelines. • Monitor project milestones and resolve issues or escalations between client expectations and project delivery. 4. Account Growth & Retention • Develop customer value proposition and implement strategic account plans to increase value at account (upsell/cross-sell renovation services or products). • Understand client business strategy and suggest value-added services or solutions that strengthen the relationship and increase loyalty. 5. Reporting & Forecasting • Prepare monthly or quarterly sales reports, forecasts, and account status updates for management. • Track KPIs related to revenue growth, contract renewals, project delivery, and customer satisfaction. 6. After-Sales & Issue Resolution • Prompt response to client concerns, requests, or complaints and ensure satisfactory resolution. • Close monitor, follow-up and escalate issues on closure of customer payments timelines. • Follow up with clients post-completion to secure repeat business and referrals. Skills & Qualifications • Diploma / Degree in Business, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Marketing or related field. • 3–5+ years’ experience in B2B sales, construction, renovation, or related roles. • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. • Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools. • Knowledge of Singapore’s construction industry and regulatory context (e.g., BCA standards) is highly preferred. • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin, or other language skills (useful with varied contractor/client base) is crucial.
