Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated WSH Officer to ensure safety compliance and manage workplace health and safety on LTA projects, primarily during night shifts at SMRT stations.

Responsibilities

• Enforce compliance with the WSH Act, WSH (Construction) Regulations, and relevant Approved Codes of Practice to maintain a safe work environment
• Apply knowledge of LTA’s Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) requirements to oversee project safety standards
• Prepare and manage ConSASS documentation to support project safety audits and compliance
• Monitor and conduct safety inspections during engineering hours, predominantly night shifts from 12am to 8am, to identify and mitigate hazards
• Collaborate with project teams to implement effective safety measures and respond to safety incidents promptly
• Maintain valid registration as a WSH Officer with MOM and as an ECO with NEA to ensure regulatory compliance

Required competencies and certifications

• Registered WSH Officer with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) with valid registration
• Registration as an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with the National Environment Agency (NEA)
• Recognised WSH Officer qualification such as Specialist Diploma in WSH or MOM-approved equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a WSH Officer on LTA projects

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Sound working knowledge of the WSH Act, WSH (Construction) Regulations, and relevant Approved Codes of Practice
• Familiarity with LTA’s Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) requirements
• Experience in preparing ConSASS documents
