Project Quantity Surveyor (Electrical)

Job Description & Requirements

• Support and perform Planning Engineering, Project Management, Monitoring Material, Procurement, Quantity Surveyor.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedule using MSP/PRIMAVERA, submit to client for comments and approval.
• Reporting day to day work progress in the ongoing projects, update in the schedule and submission.
• Preparation of Bill of Quantities.
• Take off quantities from drawings and for variations. Identify changes from tender drawings. Requests for variations, compiling Pricing of VO based on contract unit rates.
• Perform quantities analysis, preparing and analysing costing for tenders.
• Interpret and check drawings, tender documents, quantities and estimates.
• Responsible for preparation of costing sheet after gathering relevant information from stakeholders.
• Valuing completed work record for all quantities and arranging payments for each type of contract.
• Support and provide input at tender stage for prices and rates.
• Check bills, invoices submitted by vendors, contractors, consultants, etc.
• Prepare Interim Payment Certificates for Contracts, WOs, POs etc.
• Maintain the soft copies of BGs, insurance policies, certified bills with supporting documents.
• Ensure that the certification of bills is within the time frame as per the respective Contracts, WOs and PO.
• Prepare proposals and budget estimates for new contracts / tenders.

Job Requirements :

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong interpersonal skills with prior cost estimation experience in a M&E construction environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to critically analyze issues and creatively identify solutions.
• High level of initiative, independent and meticulous.
• Able to work under tight deadlines.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Those with more years of experience will be considered for senior position.
• Well versed in Ms Excel, AutoCAD.
• Preferably able to use BIM software like Revit/ Cubicost.
• Willingness to work at Tuas area with transportation pickup at designated MRT station.
