WORKPLACE SAFETY HEALTH OFFICER

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce compliance with Workplace Safety and Health Act and applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses; recommend and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement workplace safety policies, procedures, and safety programs.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
• Monitor and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems.
• Prepare reports, maintain safety records, and submit required documentation to regulatory authorities.
• Act as the key liaison with government agencies (e.g., MOM, NEA, SCDF) on WSH matters.
• Familiar with OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 and ISO 14001

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Registered WSH Officer with MOM (Singapore).
• Possess a valid Environmental Control Officer (ECO) certification recognized by NEA (Singapore); registered ECO candidates will be an advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a WSH role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of relevant WSH legislation, environmental regulations, codes of practice, and safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead safety initiatives.
• Proficient in incident reporting, environmental monitoring, and safety documentation.
