We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Cook (International Buffet) to assist in all kitchen operations for an international buffet dining concept in Singapore. The role is responsible for buffet food quality, food safety compliance, cost control, and kitchen team management to ensure smooth operations and consistent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking a wide range of international and local buffet dishes
- Assisting in buffet setup, food replenishment, and presentation
- Ensuring food is prepared according to recipes, portion standards, and quality requirements
- Monitoring buffet counters to maintain freshness, cleanliness, and sufficient food supply
- Preparing ingredients, sauces, marinades, and mise en place for daily operations
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen stations and buffet areas in compliance with Singapore food safety regulations
- Properly storing food items and monitoring stock rotation (FIFO)
- Assisting with inventory control and reporting shortages to supervisors
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Coordinating with chefs and service staff to ensure smooth buffet service during peak periods
- Supporting banquet events, special promotions, and festive buffet operations when required
- Minimizing food wastage and maintaining cost control standards
Job Requirements
· Minimum 2 years of relevant culinary experience
· Good knowledge of SFA food safety and hygiene standards.
· Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced buffet environment.
Language Requirements
· Proficient in Mandarin for kitchen and operational communication.
· Conversational English is an advantage for coordination with staff, suppliers, and management.
