Key Responsibilities
- Handle full spectrum of accounting functions including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
- Manage and maintain MYOB accounting system and ensure accurate recording of accounting transactions.
- Perform month-end closing, account reconciliations, and preparation of management accounts.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial reports, cash flow reports, forecasts, budgeting, and business analysis reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of payment vouchers, invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Ensure timely processing of suppliers’ and vendors’ payments and handle related queries.
- Reconcile inter-company transactions and ensure proper accounting entries.
- Prepare GST submissions, corporate tax schedules, tax filings, and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and company directors on audit, taxation, banking, and compliance matters.
- Review and supervise journal entries relating to bad debts and maintain proper documentation and filing.
- Review and update chart of accounts when required.
- Manage petty cash and ensure proper internal control procedures are maintained.
- Monitor project profitability and validate accruals where necessary.
- Organise and maintain proper accounting records and filing systems for efficient reference.
- Identify areas for process improvements and recommend enhancements to accounting systems and workflows.
- Support management with ad-hoc reports, analysis, and accounting assignments as required.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience in Singapore.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
- Proficient in MYOB accounting system and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiar with GST, corporate tax, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Analytical, meticulous, and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated team player with high integrity and sense of responsibility.
