Accounts Executive
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced accountant to provide temporary coverage during a team member's maternity leave. This role is expected to last approximately 3–5 months and is ideal for someone who can work independently and support day-to-day accounting operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare full set of accounts.
- Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management every month up to annual management accounts)
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely bank & ensure vendors payments
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, submit quarterly GST
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Prepare audit schedule and audit matters.
Requirements and skills
At least 3 years work experience as an accountant
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Hands-on experience with accounting software like Globe3, QuickBooks
Advanced MS Excel skills
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
