Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  1. Maintain CDE platforms (ACC/BIM360), ensuring meticulous documentation of files.
  2. Assist BIM/Design Manager in timely project submissions according to milestones.
  3. Support BIM/Design Manager in VDC walkthrough presentations for clients/owners.
  4. Conduct BIM Meetings with consultants, emphasising clash detection and model issues.
  5. Assign tasks to modellers and vigilantly monitor the quality of their work.
  6. Prepare comprehensive reports on BIM issues using Excel and Navisworks.
  7. Be able to develop when needed detailed 3D models of various Services using Revit.
  8. Collaborate with architects, engineers, main contractors, and stakeholders to integrate design inputs into BIM models, involving coordination, clash detection, and resolution.
  9. Ensure timely submission of Shop drawings.
  10. Ensure BIM models strictly adhere to industry standards and project requirements.
  11. Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, minimising errors and rework during construction ,ensuring they are in accordance with BIM standards and the required level of details
  12. Perform constructability reviews in 2D & 3D formats, including logistics planning, 4D simulation, 5D cost, and virtual digital mock-ups for visualization including renderings, and animations for design reviews presentations with subcontractors and clients.
  13. Prepare drawings submissions for consultant approval to construction.
  14. Extract quantities and generate material take-offs from BIM models for cost estimation and procurement purposes.
  15. Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members through the BIM model, serving as a central file for sharing information and resolving conflicts.
  16. Create and update BIM elements individually and through a team.
  17. Prepare documentations with standard templates and legends for submission including 2D / 3D drawing / documentation.
  18. Maintain BIM Libraries and standards in accordance with organisational and project requirements.
  19. To take lead and manage a BIM team along with contributing individually including liaise closely and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, project operation team, subcontractors and relevant statutory bodies.
  20. Support the company’s BIM roadmap & strategy and ensure its implementation including develop innovation within the department, explore new software and expand the use of BIM within the company

Requirements:

  1. Degree / Diploma in Architecture / Structure / Mechanical  / Electrical / Civil or a related field.
  2. Knowledgeable with 5 - 8 years of experience in the construction industry
  3. BIM related specialist diploma from BCA Academy or equivalent is a must.
  4. Strong BIM technical background and interest, desire or knowledge of BIM processes and software, including services knowledge in the discipline Level such as, Modelling, Production, Design Authoring, Design Review, Visualization, Clash Detection, Clash Resolution, 3D Coordination, Authority Submission, Quantity Estimation.
  5. Familiar with the latest versions of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, Dynamo and other software applications.
  6. Experience in managing key projects, including the management of multi-disciplinary project teams . Have completed at least one 3D BIM project, including configuration, setup and management, as well as handover as-built model.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  8. Highly motivated, self-driven with initiatives to work independently
