Senior / Project Planner - Oil & Gas | EPC

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with planners to prepare and integrate project execution plans into overall project schedules using planning software for designated projects, ensuring timely completion through schedule updating, progress monitoring, and report preparation
• Coordinate information gathering to support timely schedule development and reporting for the project controls manager
• Generate reports including “look aheads,” critical path analyses, and “what-if” scenarios to assist in planning and schedule evaluation
• Develop, maintain, and update s-curves and key performance indicators (KPIs) in software systems or MS Excel for progress monitoring and reporting
• Compose narrative descriptions for weekly and monthly client reports, consolidating inputs from various disciplines for project management review
• Review and evaluate contractors’ submitted schedules and their progress tracking/measurement systems
• Track and monitor project progress across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and installation phases, implementing and overseeing schedules for each project stage and overall completion
• Identify opportunities to optimize resource utilization for efficient project activity execution and organization
• Ensure contractor deliverables are clearly defined, adequately timed, and diligently tracked to prevent or minimize delays

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree, Master’s Degree, or Marine Degree/Diploma in Oil & Gas related fields
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of planning experience in Oil & Gas, especially FPSO shipbuilding, shipyard, or onshore/offshore projects
• Strong knowledge of project management, risk management, and change management processes
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Proficiency in planning management software such as Primavera P6
• Good understanding of oil & gas offshore facility construction project schedules and requirements
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills to address challenges during project execution
