The Head of Back Office is a senior leadership position tasked with overseeing and coordinating activities across Accounting Management, Settlement Operations, Administration, and IT functions. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in treasury transaction operations, regulatory compliance, and administrative oversight, along with practical knowledge of IT systems to support organizational objectives.


Accounting Management

1. Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with senior management.

2. Oversee the preparation and submission of accounting reports to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Head Office.

3. Review daily journals and ensure accuracy in financial records.

4. Forecast monthly profits and provide financial insights to support decision-making.

5. Monitor and approve office expenses to ensure cost efficiency.


Settlement Operations

1. Supervise the review of reports related to money market, securities, Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), and Foreign Exchange (FX) transactions.

2. Ensure accuracy in Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) reports.

3. Oversee daily settlement transactions, ensuring timely and accurate posting.

4. Maintain a strong understanding of the SWIFT system to support settlement processes.


Administration

1. Act as the primary liaison with the CHUBB.

2. Oversee day-to-day administrative activities, including supply management and office logistics to support staff productivity.

3. Ensure regular maintenance of office facilities through periodic inspections.


IT Oversight

1. To monitor system security and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

2. Oversee the maintenance of hardware and software, including system installations and upgrades.

3. Review auditor logs to ensure system integrity and compliance.

4. Supervise the Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Risk Assessments, and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).


Job Requirements

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and strategic thinking skills, with strong negotiation abilities and the capacity to motivate others.

· Proven analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· At least 15 years of experience in banking operations, with a focus on accounting, settlement, or local regulatory (MAS) reporting.

· Familiarity with the SWIFT system and IBM AS400 system.

· Knowledge of Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Margin Lending Agreement (MLA) requirements.

· Basic understanding of IT systems and business continuity practices is an advantage.
