The Guest Service Team Leader (Porters) will assist the Concierge to assist arriving and departing guests, handle baggage promptly and orientate guests on facilities in rooms and hotel.

Our Expectations:

  • To assist in maintaining and/or developing agreed operating procedures relating to Porter/Concierge
    and to ensure that colleagues adhere to the correct procedures.
  • To set a high example to colleagues in terms of punctuality, appearance, performance, attitude,
    leadership, guest relations, observance of the house rules, loyalty to the management and
    interdepartmental co-operation.
  • Conduct the hand over between shifts, ensuring that all relevant staff are in attendance and that
    all pertinent information is passed accurately to the oncoming shift.
  • Assist guests with baggage and escort guests to reception desk.
  • Accompany guest to assigned room, explain room facilities and hotel’s restaurants, orientate guest to features of rooms and hotel facilities.
  • Greet and direct group to waiting area and immediately, tag all baggage and sort out baggage according to the assigned room.
  • Deliver baggage by service lift to the guest room and explain all facilities and restaurants, wish guests a pleasant stay and leave promptly and politely.
  • Greet guest upon entering room and verify number of baggage and remind guest to make sure nothing was left in the room, then escort guest to lift. Check for guest’s transportation arrangement.
  • Open car doors for vehicles stop at hotel entrance.
  • To be aware of all VIP arrivals and departures, especially corporate guests.
  • To undertake any other reasonable assignment by the superior as and when required.
  • Be alert and report any faults, defects and unusual activity of the property to relevant
    departments.


We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills. You should be attentive to the guests and knowledgeable in the hospitality industry best practices with the ability to adapt to ever changing requirements and needs of customers.
