Job Summary
Join Samsung Electronics Device Solutions SEA team as a Finance Support professional to process staff claims, manage treasury functions, assist month-end closing, and support accounts receivable and audit tasks, ensuring accurate financial data and strong internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Process staff expense claims accurately and timely according to company policies by collaborating with the Shared Service Team
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure claims compliance and prompt submission
- Update staff claims policies on the online platform as needed to maintain current guidelines
- Coordinate weekly forex conversion and hedging plans with the Regional Treasury Centre to optimize treasury operations
- Assist in preparing daily and monthly cash flow forecast reports to support financial planning
- Support monthly treasury report preparation and ad-hoc documentation for management review
- Contribute to bi-yearly Treasury Health Check activities to ensure treasury compliance and efficiency
- Prepare required documentation for the Regional Treasury Centre as requested
- Prepare and post journal entries related to expenses, accruals, and other transactions to support month-end closing
- Assist in compiling month-end reports and variance analyses for management decision-making
- Complete all month-end closing checklists accurately and within deadlines
- Support accounts receivable tasks by applying customer payments and sending statements of account daily with the Shared Service Team
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to maintain cash flow
- Perform accounts receivable balance reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist auditors by responding to inquiries and providing supporting documents during audits
- Collaborate with the tax team to provide support as required
- Undertake other ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks assigned by management
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in finance, accounting, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective written, verbal, and collaboration skills
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP system is a plus
Other Information
- This is a 1-year renewable contract role
- Willingness to accept contract employment
