Our client is a brokerage firm and they have many openings for the Sales/ Investment Representative position

Responsibilities

This role is a hybrid of business development, market advisory, and trade execution within a tech-driven brokerage environment. Your core mandate is to grow the firm's client base while helping those clients navigate global financial markets using the company's trading platform.

1. Business Development & Relationship Management

  • Asset & Client Acquisition: Actively hunt for and onboard new clients to build your own portfolio.

  • Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients to encourage active trading and long-term retention.

  • Tailored Advisory: Understand each client's unique financial goals and risk tolerance to design customized trading strategies for them.

2. Market Insights & Advisory

  • Active Monitoring: Keep a pulse on global market trends, economic shifts, and macroeconomic data.

  • Idea Generation: Translate complex market movements into clear, timely, and actionable investment opportunities for your clients across securities and futures.

3. Trade Execution & Platform Utilization

  • Order Management: Execute and manage client orders directly through the company platform.

  • Speed & Accuracy: Handle high-paced trade execution smoothly while strictly staying within established risk parameters to avoid costly errors.

4. Risk & Compliance

  • Regulatory Standards: Ensure all advisory and trading activities strictly align with MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) regulations.

  • Internal Governance: Follow internal company policies and maintain high ethical standards to mitigate legal and financial risk.

Requirements

1. Eligibility & Academic Qualifications

  • Education: A recognized University Degree or Polytechnic Diploma in any discipline (candidates with a background in Banking/ Finance are preferred).

  • Applicants with no relevant experience are welcome to apply, training will be provided

2. Regulatory & Licensing Prerequisites (CMFAS)

  • Total Papers Required: 5 CMFAS papers (Modules 1A, 2A, 5, 6, and 6A) to be registered as an RNF-licensed Investment Representative under MAS.

  • Pre-Joining Requirement: Candidates must clear a minimum of 3 papers before their official onboarding date.

  • Sponsorship: The company will sponsor the first attempt for these exams.

3. Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Market Knowledge: Must have personal experience managing personal investments.

  • Soft Skills: Outgoing personality with strong communication skills and a genuine willingness to engage directly with retail customers.

  • Networking: Possesses a strong personal or professional network.

  • Digital Presence: Social-media friendly; required to actively post and engage on platforms for brand/product visibility.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & Expectations

  • Acquisition Target: Must successfully acquire 150 new customers within the first 6 months.
  • Activity Level: High-intensity field marketing, including daily physical roadshows and standard rotations.
  • Commitment: Subject to a 9-month bond starting from the commencement date.
