Senior Quantity Surveyor (Progression to Contract Manager / Main Contractor / Contract Management/ M&E project)

About the Company

Our client is an established Main Contractor with a strong portfolio of building and construction projects across Singapore. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced commercial professional to lead project contracts, cost management, and procurement functions.

This role is ideal for an experienced Contract Manager or a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to progress into a commercial leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead contract administration from project award through final account settlement.
• Manage project costs, budgeting, cash flow, and commercial performance.
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders (VO), claims, extensions of time (EOT), and final accounts.
• Review subcontract agreements, procurement packages, and commercial documentation.
• Negotiate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors on contractual matters.
• Identify commercial risks and provide practical solutions to protect project profitability.
• Support Project Managers on contract interpretation, cost planning, and project delivery.
• Prepare commercial reports and provide management with project cost updates.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveying or Contract Management experience within a Main Contractor or M&E Contractor environment.
• Hands-on experience managing VOs, claims, cost control, procurement, and final accounts.
• Familiar with PSSCOC, SIA, and standard Singapore construction contracts.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Senior Quantity Surveyors who are ready to take the next step into Contract Management are encouraged to apply.
