Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Professor LU Jun on the electronic spin engineering and topological control of chiral nanomaterials under a project on "Topological Engineering of Asymmetrical Nanointerfaces".

Main Responsibilities
•    Design, fabricate, and characterize chiral nanomaterials and nanostructures for spin-selective transport and chiroptical functionalities.
•    Investigate electronic spin polarization, spin-dependent charge transport, and chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS) effects in nanoscale materials and interfaces.
•    Assemble and optimize optical and spectroscopic systems for nanoscale characterization, including chiroptical and spin-resolved measurements.
•    Develop and implement nanoscale 3D printing and advanced nanofabrication techniques for creating chiral architectures.
•    Perform experimental studies on the interplay between topology, chirality, and spin-dependent phenomena in nanostructured materials.
•    Mentor and provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate students in related research activities.
•    Contribute to scientific publications, grant proposals, and collaborative research initiatives.

Qualifications / Discipline:

•    PhD in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or a closely related field.

Required Skills:
•    Experimental experience in nanofabrication, nanomaterials synthesis, or nanoscale manufacturing.
•    Knowledge of electronic spin phenomena, spintronics, chiral materials, or quantum materials.
•    Experience with optical characterization, spectroscopy, microscopy, or electronic transport measurements.
•    Familiarity with nanoscale 3D printing, lithography, or advanced manufacturing techniques.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Experience:
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
•    Spintronics and spin-dependent transport measurements.
•    Chiral nanomaterials and chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS).
•    Optical characterization and spectroscopy.
•    Nanoscale fabrication and 3D nanoprinting.
•    Topological materials, quantum materials, or related nanoscience research.
