ROLE OVERVIEW
Lendingpot is looking for a Lead, Personal Loans to drive the growth and operational performance of our personal loans business. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end personal loan function, including sales performance, lender relationships, customer conversion, team management, process improvements, and business growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate should be commercially driven, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced digital lending environment. This role requires someone who can balance sales targets, customer experience, compliance requirements, and operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Growth & Sales Performance
• Lead the personal loans business segment and drive application, approval, and disbursement growth.
• Monitor sales performance, conversion rates, approval rates, and revenue contribution.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition, lead conversion, and lender matching.
• Work closely with marketing to improve campaign performance, lead quality, and customer messaging.
• Develop strategies to improve repeat customers, referrals, and customer retention.
Lender & Partner Management
• Manage relationships with licensed moneylenders, banks, and financing partners.
• Work with lenders to understand their approval criteria, loan products, interest rates, and operational processes.
• Negotiate and improve commercial arrangements where relevant.
• Ensure Lendingpot continues to offer customers suitable and competitive loan options.
• Identify and onboard new lender partners to strengthen the personal loans marketplace.
Operations & Process Improvement
• Oversee the end-to-end customer journey from enquiry to application, lender matching, approval, and disbursement.
• Improve internal workflows to reduce manual processes and increase operational efficiency.
• Work with technology and operations teams to enhance system features, automation, and reporting.
• Ensure accurate tracking of applications, loan outcomes, commissions, and customer follow-ups.
• Identify process gaps and implement practical improvements.
Team Leadership
• Manage and guide the personal loans sales and operations team.
• Set clear targets, monitor individual performance, and provide coaching where needed.
• Ensure the team follows proper sales, customer service, and compliance standards.
• Build a results-driven culture focused on customer experience and responsible lending.
Compliance & Customer Experience
• Ensure all customer-facing activities are conducted professionally and in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Maintain clear communication with customers on loan options, fees, approval conditions, and lender requirements.
• Work with compliance and management to ensure proper documentation, disclosures, and responsible lending practices.
• Handle escalations, complaints, and sensitive customer cases where required.
Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare regular business updates on application volume, approval rates, disbursements, revenue, and key performance indicators.
• Analyse campaign and sales data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
• Provide management with recommendations to improve business performance and profitability.
REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in personal loans, consumer finance, licensed moneylending, banking, fintech, or loan brokerage.
• Prior experience managing a sales or operations team is preferred.
• Strong understanding of personal loan products, customer needs, and lender requirements.
• Commercially driven with strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Comfortable working with CRM systems, dashboards, Excel, and performance reports.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Hands-on, proactive, and able to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Good understanding of compliance and responsible lending practices.
