Job Summary

You will assist PUB in operating tidal gates between the reservoir and sea, monitor reservoir conditions, supervise contractors, and ensure operational readiness through weather and CCTV monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Operate tidal gates between the reservoir and sea to regulate water flow effectively
• Check and record reservoir and sea level meter readings hourly to maintain accurate operational data
• Monitor CCTV footage at reservoir premises to detect activities and ensure site security
• Review weather forecasts regularly to prepare for tidal gate operations and respond to environmental changes
• Supervise on-site contractors and monitor their duties to ensure compliance with operational standards

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess at least a NITEC certificate
• Ability to work shifts to maintain continuous tidal gate operations
• Competent in using computers, including Microsoft Office, to record data and communicate effectively
• Reliable personal transportation to travel to and from the worksite
