[SINGAPORE FLYER] Assistant Buyer

Overall Job Purpose

Primarily responsible for sourcing F&B items & operational supplies at the most competitive prices.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Overseeing vendors who supply food and beverages and maintain close interaction with vendors to learn about market changes and what products are available, particularly products only available on a seasonal basis.
• Responsible for negotiating contracts with vendors as well as reviewing product quality and delivery times to ensure vendors are complying with their contracts.
• Responsible for finding and evaluating new vendors, looking out for new products/news/concept at competitive prices.
• Maintain contracts & related administrative work and ensuring the Company’s Standard of Practice is adhered to.
• Experience in sourcing from Taobao & 1688
• Provide support to the procurement team Other duties assigned by management
  

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

• Diploma in Food & Beverage Business/Services or related discipline
• Min 2 years of relevant working experiences as a buyer  preferably from Chinese Restaurant / Hotel / Clubs.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office is a MUST
• Able to communicate & write Mandarin is a MUST. (Required to do translation from Chinese to English & vice versa.)
• Possess excellent negotiation skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
