Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the mini mart and ensure smooth business activities.
- Supervise sales assistants, cashiers, and store staff to maintain efficient customer service.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate inventory replenishment to prevent shortages.
- Conduct regular stock checks, inventory audits, and expiry date inspections.
- Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, and arranged according to store standards.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues professionally.
- Monitor daily sales performance and prepare sales and inventory reports.
- Manage cash collection, cashier operations, and daily sales reconciliation.
- Coordinate with suppliers for product ordering, delivery schedules, and stock management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
- Train, guide, and evaluate staff performance to maintain operational efficiency.
- Monitor store cleanliness, security, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Implement promotional activities and merchandising strategies to increase sales.
- Control operational expenses and minimize stock losses, damages, and wastage.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Directors or Senior Management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of retail, supermarket, convenience store, or mini mart management experience.
- Strong leadership and customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of inventory control and retail operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
