Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Manage the daily operations of the mini mart and ensure smooth business activities.
  2. Supervise sales assistants, cashiers, and store staff to maintain efficient customer service.
  3. Monitor stock levels and coordinate inventory replenishment to prevent shortages.
  4. Conduct regular stock checks, inventory audits, and expiry date inspections.
  5. Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, and arranged according to store standards.
  6. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues professionally.
  7. Monitor daily sales performance and prepare sales and inventory reports.
  8. Manage cash collection, cashier operations, and daily sales reconciliation.
  9. Coordinate with suppliers for product ordering, delivery schedules, and stock management.
  10. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
  11. Train, guide, and evaluate staff performance to maintain operational efficiency.
  12. Monitor store cleanliness, security, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  13. Implement promotional activities and merchandising strategies to increase sales.
  14. Control operational expenses and minimize stock losses, damages, and wastage.
  15. Perform any other duties assigned by the Directors or Senior Management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail, supermarket, convenience store, or mini mart management experience.
  • Strong leadership and customer service skills.
  • Good knowledge of inventory control and retail operations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
