2206 Pastoral Care Officer /Yio Chu Kang

Contract Period: From 20 July 2026 to 31 December 2026.

Option to Extend: From 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:15am to 4:15pm, inclusive of 1hour lunch break

• Weekly working hours: 40 hours

• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and school holidays.

Requirements:

The Personnel should preferably minimally possess the following skills and experience

• Relevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, education, social work or case work

• Experience working with primary school students, especially in the areas of student well-being, pastoral care or behavioural support programmes

• Strong interpersonal, communication and mentoring skills

Job Scopes：

The Services required are set out as follows:

1. Student Engagement & Development

• Design and deliver structured programmes to equip identified students with skills to regulate emotions and behaviour

• Provide individual and small-group mentoring sessions

• Build trusting relationships with students to support personal growth

2. Behaviour & Emotional Support

• Identify triggers and develop appropriate intervention strategies

• Reinforce positive behaviour through coaching and modelling

• Support students in applying strategies in classroom and school settings

3. Collaboration with School Staff

• Work closely with teachers, Year Heads, Student Management Key Personnel and school leaders to align the support plans for students

• Provide feedback on student progress and behavioural trends

• Contribute to case discussions when required

4. Monitoring & Reporting

• Track student progress in discussion with teachers, Year Heads, Student Management Key Personnel using agreed indicators

• Provide periodic updates on outcomes and recommendations

• Maintain proper documentation of interventions and sessions
