L2 Preschool English Teacher
Job Description
An established preschool in the Pasir Panjang / Labrador Park area is hiring an L2 English Teacher / L2 Preschool English Teacher to teach N1 and N2.
This role is suited for a teacher who is not only professionally qualified, but also patient, dependable, warm with young children, and able to contribute positively to a team-based preschool environment. The centre is looking for someone who can provide consistent care, build trust with children, and support a safe and engaging classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons for N1 and N2 children
Support children’s learning, routines, behaviour, and emotional well-being in a caring and professional manner
Create a positive, safe, and child-centred classroom environment
Observe children’s development and maintain accurate records where required
Work closely with colleagues and parents to support each child’s progress
Prepare learning materials and classroom activities based on the centre’s curriculum framework
Carry out daily classroom responsibilities, including supervision, routine care, and maintaining classroom order
Participate in centre activities, meetings, and school events as required
Requirements
Recognised L2 qualification for preschool teaching in Singapore
Relevant preschool teaching experience preferred
Able to teach and manage a class of preschool children with patience, care, and consistency
Comfortable supporting young children who may need time, reassurance, and guidance to settle into school routines
Responsible, dependable, and professional in work attitude
Able to work well with colleagues in a preschool team setting
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Honest, organised, and able to follow through on responsibilities
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
Work schedule is based on rostered shifts within normal preschool operating hours of 7.00am to 7.00pm
Saturday work only when there is a school event
Saturday event involvement is roughly once a month
Curriculum and Work Environment
The centre follows an inquiry-based curriculum
Curriculum framework and teaching structure are provided by HQ
Teachers are expected to deliver lessons effectively while adapting to the needs of young learners in class
