VP, Financial Services Tax Manager (In-house)

Our client is a prominent international financial services firm looking to hire an experienced tax professional to join its regional tax function. The role offers significant exposure to business-facing advisory work, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to support complex transactions, product developments and strategic business initiatives throughout APAC.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tax advisory and compliance support for new products, transactions and business initiatives across the APAC region.
• Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
• Support transfer pricing activities, including policy reviews, intercompany arrangements and maintenance of documentation requirements.
• Monitor tax and regulatory developments, assess their business impact, and lead or support regional tax initiatives to implement new legislation, policies and process enhancements across the organisation.
• Partner with business and functional stakeholders to provide tax advisory support on commercial activities and strategic initiatives, assess tax risks, and deliver practical solutions that balance business objectives with regulatory and governance requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Approximately 10+ years of financial services tax experience across corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and tax advisory matters.
• Experience supporting complex cross-border transactions and regional business operations.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
