Job Summary

Lead the Finance team to deliver accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management supporting business growth and operational excellence at SBSC.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Finance team by setting clear strategic goals and providing ongoing guidance to enhance team performance and collaboration across departments
• Drive process improvements within the Finance team to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
• Oversee statutory and management financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, treasury, fixed assets, inventories, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain financial health
• Prepare, review, and analyze management reports and financial statements to inform senior management decisions
• Lead year-end statutory audits by coordinating audit preparation, documentation, and liaising with auditors
• Maintain and update internal controls and financial policies to ensure robust compliance and risk management
• Manage taxation matters including withholding tax, corporate income tax reviews, and responding to IRAS queries
• Conduct financial analyses to support senior management in strategic planning and decision-making
• Support annual budgeting processes and contribute to special projects such as system implementations

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA/ISCA/CA qualification
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in audit processes
• Exposure to the healthcare industry
• Basic knowledge or understanding of Power Query, Power Pivot, and Excel VBA Macros
