Job Summary
Assist with reception duties, registration, financial counselling, collection of payment and other administration duties.
Responsibilities
- Greet and receive patients or visitors at the reception counter to provide a welcoming environment
- Perform patient registration for both inpatient and outpatient by accurately obtaining and recording patient addresses, contact details, insurance information, and medical histories
- Update and verify patient information at each visit while maintaining confidentiality
- Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries courteously and promptly to support patient needs
- Assist and direct patients and visitors to examination rooms to ensure smooth patient flow
- Schedule patient appointments and make reminder calls and SMS messages to reduce no-shows
- Inform patients about delays and expected waiting times to manage expectations
- Provide financial counselling to patients and their families to explain billing and payment options
- Collect payments for services rendered and ensure accurate transaction processing
- Close daily accounts and prepare cash deposits to maintain financial accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the reception counter and patient waiting areas to promote a professional environment
- Adhere to strict infection control measures, exercise standard precautions, and practice good hand hygiene to ensure patient safety
- Advise both inpatients and outpatients on necessary procedure preparations to support clinical processes
- Assist in maintaining general cleanliness and upkeep of the assigned work area within the imaging facility
- Assist in transferring patients to and from the imaging facility to support patient mobility needs
- Replenish patient brochures and office stationery to ensure availability of materials
- Perform clerical duties including filing and data entry for statistics reporting to support administrative functions
- Coordinate with maintenance and repair services by reporting issues promptly to maintain facility operations
- Assume additional duties as directed by the operations manager or supervisors to support team needs
- Report any errors or discrepancies promptly to supervisors to ensure timely resolution
Required competencies and certifications
Fresh Graduates from Polytechnic with any Diploma discipline without experience, or minimum 1 years of relevant experience.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong team player and thrives on working in a team
Well versed in Microsoft Office applications
