Cook and Cleaner (Childcare / Islandwide)

Key Responsibilities:

Cooking Duties:

• Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks in accordance with nutritional guidelines and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely, hygienic, and child-friendly manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and food preparation area.
• Monitor food supplies and notify management of needed inventory.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards and policies.

Cleaning Duties:

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas daily.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all designated areas.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
• Regularly disinfect high-touch surfaces and play equipment.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to management promptly.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role (cooking and/or cleaning), preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
• Basic knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow menus and accommodate food allergies or special dietary needs.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, stand for long periods, and perform cleaning tasks.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
