We are seeking anExercise Trainer to support stroke patients and individuals with chronic conditions in a non-profit rehabilitation setting located in Ang Mo Kio. Therole focuses on post-therapy exercise training to improve strength,cardiovascular fitness, mobility, and functional independence.

The trainer willwork closely with therapists and continue structured exercise programs after clinical rehabilitation. The role includes mainly 1-to-1 training with some small group sessions.

Job Responsibilities

Program Delivery

  • Conduct basic fitness and functional assessments for clients
  • Design and implement exercise programs focused on strength, cardiovascular fitness, mobility, and endurance
  • Modify exercises based on client conditions and limitations

Client Training

  • Deliver mainly 1-to-1 training sessions, with some group sessions
  • Ensure safe and structured training environment
  • Teach correct movement, posture, and exercise techniques
  • Monitor progress and adjust programs accordingly

Collaboration

  • Work closely with therapists and healthcare professionals
  • Align training plans with rehabilitation goals
  • Communicate with caregivers and internal teams when required

Safety and Maintenance

  • Ensure safe use of equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of training area and equipment
  • Follow safety procedures and respond to incidents appropriately

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain session records and client progress documentation
  • Perform basic reporting and related administrative tasks
  • Participate in training and professional development

Requirements

  • Degree holder
  • Certified in ACSM, ACE, NASM or equivalent fitness certification
  • Interest in rehabilitation, elderly fitness, or clinical exercise preferred
  • Comfortable working with stroke patients and older adults
  • Able to work in a structured rehabilitation environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Working Details

  • Location: Ang Mo Kio
  • 5-day work week
  • 8 hours per day roster
  • No Sunday
  • Non-profit rehabilitation environment
