Hotel Technician [ Dhoby Ghaut ] #EC

Job Summary

The client, a hotel near Dhoby Ghaut MRT, seeks a technician to perform maintenance, repair, and support services across building systems, ensuring operational reliability and safety in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance and repair tasks on building infrastructure and equipment to ensure continuous operational performance
• Deliver audiovisual (AV) support for hotel events, ensuring seamless technical execution
• Install and refurbish equipment to maintain and upgrade facility functionality
• Maintain and update equipment checklists and records of routine inspections to track maintenance status
• Coordinate work orders with internal departments to facilitate timely resolution of maintenance issues
• Respond promptly to emergencies including fire alarms, flooding, and electrical failures to minimize disruption and ensure safety
• Inspect and supervise mechanical and electrical (M&E) contractors’ repair and servicing work to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas to promote a safe working environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations

Required competencies and certifications

• NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical
• Proficient knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods relevant to building systems
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and sanitary installations, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation, fire protection, and chiller systems
• Ability to work effectively on a 3-shift rotating schedule

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working in hotel or shopping mall environments, supporting complex facility maintenance and operations

Other Information

• Work schedule: 5.5 days per week, 8-hour shifts with 3 rotating shifts
• Night shift allowance and meal provided
• Location: Hotel near Dhoby Ghaut MRT
