Locum Educational Therapist #JK

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individualized or small group lessons to support children with diverse learning needs.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate and monitor academic and developmental progress.
• Develop and adapt teaching strategies and materials for children with learning challenges.
• Track progress through case notes and reports; provide regular updates to parents.
• Conduct Parent-Teacher Conferences to review progress and goals.
• Contribute to curriculum development, resources, and programme improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with parents and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic development.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant field with certification in Special Education / SpLD (e.g. Dyslexia, SEN).
• Registered with the Register of Educational Therapists (Asia) (RETA).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in literacy and/or numeracy intervention.
• Able to teach up to PSLE and/or O-Level standards.
• Familiarity with structured literacy approaches (e.g. Orton-Gillingham, Jolly Phonics) is advantageous.
• Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Committed to continuous professional development.
