What the role is
Planningand Intelligence Division (PID) is part of SWDA’s Incentives Management and EnforcementGroup (IMEG). IMEG drives organisationalexcellence by delivering trusted, data-driven operations that strengthengovernance, manage risk, and safeguard public confidence. The candidatewill play a role in safeguarding the integrity of SWDA’s grant ecosystem bycontributing to the formulation and review of strategies and policies aimed atcountering external fraud and abuse.
What you will beworking on
Reporting to the team lead, the successfulcandidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities and Competencies
a. Implement Data Science Projects:Collaborate with data scientists to develop, enhance, and maintain FraudAnalytics Models (FAM) aimed at effective fraud and abuse risk management. (Competency:Fraud Risk Management)
b. Conduct Periodic Reviews: Performregular assessments of fraud analytics and claims analysis parameters toimprove detection methods for emerging fraud and abuse patterns and anomalousrisk scenarios. (Competency: Fraud Risk Identification & Assessment)
c. Recommendation of Techniques/Tools:Research and recommend advanced techniques and tools for detecting emergingfraud and abuse risks, translating findings into actionable data features forFAMs. (Competency: Risk Assessment)
d. Claims Analysis: Conduct pre- andpost- disbursement claims analysis and in-depth thematic analysis to detectanomalous claims patterns. (Competency: Data Management and Analysis)
e. Collaboration with SWDA Business Units:Work closely with relevant business units to ensure comprehensive coverage offraud analytics across end-to-end processes, promoting best practices in fraud detection and risk management. (Competency: Stakeholder Engagement)
What we are looking for
- Proficient in executing job duties with required competencies.
- Senior Manager: at least 6 years of experience in data analytics, computer/data science, statistics, applied mathematics, business analytics
- Good analytical skills and conceptual abilities, with a keen eye for identifying keyissues and synthesising diverse information into coherent frameworks.
- Proficiency inquantitative analysis is essential, including the application of statisticaltechniques and tools such as Tableau, Python, SQL, and VBA to uncover insightsand trends, and the ability to communicate these findings in clear, accessible terms.
- Demonstrates good writing, communication,stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
Note: This is an individual contributor role.
Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent tenure
