About the Role
Are you looking to launch a dynamic career in the global maritime industry? We are seeking motivated individuals to join the Trainee Cargo / Bunker Clerk Program. This entry-level role bridges the gap between shore operations and vessel logistics. You will learn the ropes of managing cargo documentation, coordinating ship-to-ship transfers, and ensuring safe, accurate fueling (bunkering) operations.
No prior maritime experience is required the client provide full, hands-on training to get you certified and confident on the water.
What You Will Learn & Do
Board vessels to coordinate cargo loading, discharging, and bunkering operations.
Learn to measure fuel/cargo tanks, calculate volumes, and ensure compliance with international marine standards.
Prepare and verify critical maritime paperwork, including Bills of Lading, Bunker Delivery Notes (BDNs), and safety checklists.
Strictly adhere to port regulations and environmental safety protocols during transfers.
Who We Are Looking For
Adaptable & Resilient: Comfortable working outdoors, on vessels, and adapting to shifting shipping schedules (includes shift work, weekends, and night rotations).
Detail-Oriented: Strong basic math skills for volumetric calculations and a sharp eye for accurate paperwork.
Team Player: Excellent communication skills to coordinate between ship captains, surveyors, and shore management.
Requirements: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to port terminals is a major plus.
