Cloud Engineering Lead (AWS / DevOps / Terraform)

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Lead to drive the architecture, delivery, and continuous improvement of AWS cloud services.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will design secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions while leading and mentoring a team of engineers. You will also play a key role in automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), governance, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of AWS cloud solutions
• Mentor and lead engineering teams, fostering strong DevOps and engineering best practices
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to internal stakeholders and external partners
• Design cloud solutions aligned with security, governance, and compliance standards
• Drive continuous improvement in automation, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
• Own Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Terraform Enterprise) and deployment automation practices
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and automation tools such as Ansible
• Enhance operational automation using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, SSM, and scripting

Requirements

• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, including 2+ years in leadership roles
• Strong hands-on AWS expertise (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, Step Functions)
• Experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Bash / PowerShell / Python scripting
• Good understanding of cloud security, CIS Benchmarks, and AWS security best practices
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
• Preferred: AWS certifications
