Work Nature
- Independent on regular nature of work, uses personal experience, Team Works, applies relevant company policies and procedures.
Construction Quality Activity
- Oversees all site Structure execution by planning, managing, coordinating construction, commissioning, pre-operation execution strategy and day to day activities. Provide overall technical direction to the Structure construction, Coordinates project execution and planning with the relevant parties, departments, and agencies.
- Ensure that site document control procedures are being followed and all latest revision Structure documents received, filed, and distributed to concerned parties.
- Review and ensure sub-contractors detailed overall relevant Structure planning, schedules, manning levels are aligned with company’s expectations.
- Attend relevant Structure weekly / monthly meetings with sub-contractors, third parties, client and communicate all requirements and concerns related to the project.
- Prepare and issue Structure weekly / monthly reports and forecast, including summary of Structure progress, manning requirement forecast and make recommendations as necessary.
- Ensure that all relevant Structure construction milestone dates can be achieved as per schedule.
- Ensure all sub-contractor’s Structure relevant procedures and method statements are acceptable and issued to relevant parties.
- Coordinate the site Structure personnel and ensure they fully understand their roles and responsibilities for the duties they are assigned.
- Assign and organize all required site Structure personnel to ensure sub-contractors and vendors are completing all Structure construction activities and fully complying with company procedures and quality and HSSE expectations/requirements where needed to meet targeted schedules.
- Review site Structure personnel daily reports for progress, concerns, and mitigations.
- Review and ensure Structure material delivery is aligned with forecast schedule and coordinate and expedite any shortfalls.
- Ensure sub-contractor has sufficient work front and provide mitigation plan on those delayed Structure deliverables if any.
- Review and ensure vendors are mobilized when required as per schedule.
- Ensure all Structure systems are completed as per priorities and commissioning sequence.
- Prepare and issue detailed work packs for integration and carry over works.
Communications
- Maintain good relationship with team members.
- Interact with internal and external departments including but not limited to engineering, vendors, engineering subcontractor, construction subcontractor and Client.
- Facilitates communications with functional teams to ensure that issues are identified and incorporated into schedules and execution plan.
Documentation
- Review / update / produce Construction documents including Best Work Practices for Construction Methodology periodically as appropriate.
- Review and ensure all Structure engineering and relevant deliverables are being received in line with forecast schedules.
HSSE
- Complies with the MODEC HSSE Policies and Standard as described in the HSSE Commitment Statement. HSSE Standards, and the HSSE Procedures to always protect people and the environment. Has a duty of care to ensure that all personnel work in a manner that is not harmful to their own health and safety and the health and safety of others.

- Strong working knowledge of contractual documentation (contracts, waivers, addendums, annexes, scope changes, contractual schedule etc.) and ensures planning and execution complies with contractual requirements.
- Strong Working Knowledge of certification body requirement and regulatory requirement.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, guidance and communicate information to multi-national personnel and different levels of work force and a large variety of vendors and fabricators.
Work Conditions
- Work Location shall be assigned by CIC Section Lead – Construction, business trip to Site as required and there are opportunities to be assigned for full time at appointed project site, including international locations where applicable.
- Normal exposure to hazards such as noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, chemicals, working at height for construction site environment.
Qualifications
- Batchelor’s Degree or Technical college certificate.
- Certification in a trade certification with track record of construction of at least 5 FPSO projects with fabrication, integration of marine and topside modules.
- Minimum of 10 years work experience in EPC of onshore/offshore oil and gas or FPSO projects.
- Valid CSWIP 3.1 (Level 2) / AWS: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) (is an optional advantage).
- Valid painting inspection certificate NACE Level 2 or FROSIO or AMPP (is an optional advantage).
Technical Competencies
- Computer including Mobile Devices with proficiency in Microsoft 365, 3D Model Viewer and PDF
- knowledge in construction management, project management, construction methodology principles, quality assurance and HSSE requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of marine construction AND / OR topsides modules structure construction and preservation.
