Overview
This role is with a digital financial platform that aggregates and compares financial products, enabling consumers to make more informed decisions. As a Financial Advisory Specialist, you will engage with qualified leads who are actively exploring life and health insurance solutions.
Your primary responsibility is to guide these customers through their decision-making journey—from understanding their needs to recommending suitable insurance products and supporting them through the application process. The role also emphasizes long-term relationship management, including ongoing servicing and policy reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with assigned leads promptly to understand their financial needs and insurance requirements
- Conduct financial needs analysis and provide tailored recommendations on life and health insurance solutions
- Compare available products and advise clients on the most suitable options
- Support clients through the application process and follow up until policy issuance
- Deliver holistic financial advisory services to both new and existing customers
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Manage enquiries effectively and grow your client base through referrals
- Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators
- Ensure all advisory processes and documentation comply with internal policies and regulatory standards
Requirements
- At least 3 years of sales experience in the financial services industry, preferably within financial advisory firms or insurance companies
- Strong knowledge of financial planning principles and the insurance landscape
- Good understanding of insurance products and collective investment schemes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Adaptability and the ability to perform under pressure and tight timelines
- A self-driven and resilient attitude to meet sales objectives
Candidates should also possess relevant certifications such as CMFAS Modules 5, 9, 9A, and HI. Additional qualifications (e.g. M8, M8A, BCP, PGI, ComGI) will be advantageous.
Customer Engagement & Retention Focus
A key aspect of this role is providing ongoing service beyond the initial sale. This includes conducting regular policy reviews, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring clients’ coverage continues to align with their evolving needs.
