Job Description
This is a Regional Project Portfolio Management Deputy Lead role. He/she plays a pivotal role in managing projects across multiple locations and oversees a team of regional project managers, ensuring successful delivery of projects across APAC. This role requires tactical leadership, cross-functional coordination, and operational excellence to achieve organizational goals in alignment with corporate objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to optimize project delivery across locations.
Align regional project management practices with organizational goals.
Serve as a key member of the Project Portfolio Management team, contributing to overall Infrastructure Project Portfolio Delivery.
Team Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional project managers.
Foster a high-performing culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews and manage professional development planning for team members.
Project Oversight
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and address roadblocks proactively.
Establish and maintain standards for project management excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project objectives.
Act as the escalation point for critical project issues.
Build strong relationships with clients, partners, and regional stakeholders.
Operational Efficiency
Analyse and optimize project workflows and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Report regularly on KPIs, project performance, and financial outcomes to the executive leadership team.
Prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 12 years in Infrastructure project management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior project management leadership role.
Experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Lean).
Experience in project management tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
Ability to drive change and foster innovation.
Cross-cultural communication and global perspective.
Financial acumen and budget management.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
PMP certified
