Sewing Manager (Based in Indonesia)

Seeking an experienced and results-driven Sewing Department Manager to lead the garment production operations. The successful candidate will oversee daily sewing operations, ensure high-quality production standards, and drive efficiency across the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily sewing production to ensure targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are achieved.
• Plan and organize production workflows to maintain balanced operations and maximize productivity.
• Monitor garment quality by ensuring compliance with approved samples, stitch quality, SPI (stitches per inch) and tension standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to minimize defects, reduce waste, and maintain high production standards.
• Supervise sewing machine operators, monitor attendance and provide coaching and performance guidance.
• Develop and implement training programs for operators on machine handling, production techniques and quality practices.
• Coordinate machine maintenance activities and troubleshoot technical or operational issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production floor in line with 5S workplace standards.
• Ensure smooth handling and availability of cut components, threads, needles, and other production materials.
• Prepare and submit production reports covering efficiency, operator performance, and quality-related findings.

Requirements

• Diploma/ Nitec in apparel manufacturing, textile technology or fashion design.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing sewing operations in a garment manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience overseeing at least 40 sewing lines in a factory setting.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and production planning skills.
• Good understanding of garment construction, sewing quality standards and production processes.
• Ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• This role is required to be based in Indonesia.
