Program Manager, Maintenance Planner

Puyan, Nanxin Village, Puyan Township, Changhua County, Taiwan

Job Description

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Data Center Maintenance Planner Program Manager, you will be responsible for the effective execution of all planning and scheduling of maintenance work. In order to fulfill these responsibilities in the most effective manner, you will work with the site supervisors and technicians to manage work priority, develop job plans, define parts and materials, define trades and crafts, and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective, and efficient plan/schedule. In addition, you will provide the equipment-related expertise and technical guidance on improving Preventive Maintenance activities and work management processes.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the use and administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program at a site level. This includes the creation, update, and maintenance of equipment, Preventative Maintenance (PM), and safety records within the CMMS program.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with data center operations and vendors to plan, schedule, and manage the flow of maintenance work orders and required resources.
  • Establish and maintain equipment files, parts inventory, bills of materials (BOM), and preventative maintenance (PM) schedules within the CMMS.
  • Advocate the launch of CMMS and work management processes, integrating them into the data center's daily operations.
  • Utilize comprehensive analytics from CMMS data to assist the Facility Management team in optimizing site schedules and resource leveling.
  • Partner with global site planners to implement industry best practices and continuously improve overall maintenance programs.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of program management experience.
  • Experience in preventative, electrical, or mechanical maintenance planning.
  • Experience with third-party CMMS programs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven electrical or mechanical experience.
  • Extensive experience in critical facilities management or operations management, encompassing facility, operations, technical, and team leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Facilities/Operations Manager or Chief Engineer within a critical facility.
  • Experience in developing maintenance plans and forecasts.
