Solution Architect - (Public Sector)
Job Description
Overview At Xtremax, we help government agencies and enterprises build robust, scalable, and future-ready digital systems. As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in defining the end-to-end architecture, translating business requirements into technical designs, and ensuring solutions align with the Customer’s enterprise architecture. This role combines technical leadership, system design, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver impactful digital solutions. Candidates with public sector experience are preferred, as this role supports IT projects for government agencies. Responsibility:
- Define and establish the target microservices architecture for .NET applications, aligned with NP enterprise architecture, cloud, and IM8 security requirements
- Lead the architecture design for one pilot .NET application to validate and refine the microservices approach
- Evaluate and recommend suitable technology stack, frameworks, and integration approach
- Evaluate and define delivery approach, including GovTech platforms or independent deployment
- Design service decomposition, domain boundaries, and communication patterns for scalable and modular systems
- Establish reference architecture, design standards, and reusable patterns to support consistent adoption across subsequent .NET applications
- Provide architectural guidance and development support for new applications requested by schools and departments
- Lead hands-on application development for the pilot system, focusing on core and complex components, establishing coding patterns and best practices
- Conduct code reviews, design walkthroughs, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and alignment with architecture
- Perform hands-on application development for selected applications
- Define and implement best practices for secure coding, testing strategy, and CI/CD practices across the development lifecycle
- Support modernization of other .NET applications by providing technical guidance to NP development teams
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certifications
- At least 7 years experience as a Software Architect and 4 years in leading architecture design for modern applications
- Track record of delivering microservices-based or modernized applications in production
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture, .NET 8/10, C#, frontend and backend technologies, Azure cloud-native design, authentication, authorization, secure application design, DevOps practices, and IM8
- Ability to code and deliver production-grade applications and enforce coding standards through reviews and refactoring
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

As part of our public sector projects, you will work closely with cybersecurity teams, engineers, and stakeholders to support and enhance Exposure Management platforms across complex enterprise environments. You will be part of fast-paced, collaborative teams responsible for platform operations, vulnerability management, automation, and cloud-native security initiatives while contributing to mission-critical cybersecurity operations and digital infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Support operations of Exposure Management platforms including handling support tickets, troubleshooting issues, and monitoring platform performance
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and optimise Exposure Management products such as Attack Surface Management, Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security Posture Management platforms
- Support stakeholders in interpreting security posture and vulnerability reports
- Work closely with stakeholders to support onboarding and integration activities
- Design, implement, and maintain integrations with third-party and internal platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, CMDB, ticketing, and asset management systems
- Develop and maintain scripts, APIs, and automation workflows for user management, platform maintenance, and operational processes
- Create dashboards, reports, technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and engineering teams to improve platform effectiveness and operational standards
- Support data ingestion, platform optimisation, and operational maintenance activities across cloud-native environments
- Provide operational support for incidents and platform-related activities when required
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related disciplines
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in platform operations, infrastructure operations, cybersecurity operations, or exposure management-related roles
- Experience working with cloud-native environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with vulnerability management, attack surface management, cloud security posture management, or external threat intelligence platforms
- Experience integrating platforms using APIs, automation scripts, or workflow orchestration tools
- Proficiency in Python scripting, API integration, or automation development is highly preferred
- Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, CMDB, ticketing, or asset management platforms is an advantage
- Good understanding of Linux environments and modern infrastructure operations practices
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation-driven operations is an advantage
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative and fast-paced operational environments
