Azure AI Data engineer

About the Role We're hiring an Azure AI Data engineer to build AI agents and intelligent solutions at the intersection of technology and advanced manufacturing processes. This is a cross-domain role where you'll work closely with PhD-level domain experts to understand complex scientific and manufacturing challenges, map those processes, and translate them into AI-driven solutions built on the Azure AI stack. Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents and end-to-end AI solutions that solve problems across multiple technical and manufacturing domains.

• Partner directly with PhD researchers and subject-matter experts to understand, document, and map complex processes.

• Translate scientific and process knowledge into structured workflows, models, and agentic systems.

• Develop and integrate solutions using: Azure OpenAIAzure AI FoundryAzure Machine Learning

• Build:RAG pipelinesAgent orchestration workflowsTool-calling agentsKnowledge-grounded AI systems

• Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI solutions in production environments.

• Implement appropriate security, governance, and operational controls.

Requirements Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills

• Strong Python programming skills.

• Hands-on experience with:Azure OpenAIAzure AI FoundryAzure Machine LearningAzure Cognitive Services

• Experience building:LLM applicationsAI agentsRAG systems

• Ability to work with domain experts and convert specialized knowledge into working AI systems.

• Strong analytical thinking and process-mapping capabilities.
