Lead Software Engineer

A leading regional bank is building the next generation of its digital banking platforms across Asia Pacific and they're looking for a hands-on engineering leader to drive it. You'll be own engineering excellence for our high-volume web and mobile channel applications, used by customers across the region. That means setting the technical bar and making sure it's met: governing architecture, enforcing code quality across internal and vendor teams, validating designs against what actually ships, and keeping CI/CD and code management practices sharp. This is a leadership role for someone who stays close to the code reviewing merge requests, spotting technical risk and debt early, and mentoring developers into a culture of quality and accountability. You'll work alongside architects, product owners, and QA to deliver platforms that meet the security and regulatory standards of a major financial institution. ​ You bring

• Around 10 years building software for financial institutions

• Deep Java/Spring Boot and microservices expertise, with REST, gRPC, and Kafka

• Proven delivery of secure, internet-facing apps: SSO, OIDC/SAML, MFA, OWASP

• Hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, GitOps/ArgoCD)

• Solid database grounding (Oracle, NoSQL, ElasticSearch)

• Payments or cash management domain experience a plus

• Clear communication and a strong sense of ownership
