Process Engineer (CNC Machining) / $4000 - $6000 basic

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Industrialize machining processes for new and existing products - Qualify CNC milling/turning, EDM, lathes, and other machining processes to ensure they meet GE Vernova specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure all machining processes adhere to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) standards.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to machining processes.
  • Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from SQDC standards.
  • Lead risk reduction and quality improvement projects to enhance machining processes.
  • Drive productivity and sustainability projects to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools and methodologies to solve complex problems.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to process design and improvement.
  • Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities in machining processes.
  • Provide technical guidance, training and support to machining operators and technicians.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machining or related processes
  • Knowledge of gas turbine component repair is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with tooling selection, fixture design, CAD, CAM, and metrology.
