Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Responsibilities

• Support our engineers with drawing and documentation; and tasks when required

• Provide support on tasks and projects assigned, including but not limited to:
• Develop and build prototypes and run tests to measure their level of function
• Calculate cost estimates for final product designs, and release reports to supervisors, incorporating costs of labour, material, delivery and overhead
• Record and evaluate testing data, altering designs and necessary to bring them to safety, performance and efficiency standards
• Design products using CAD, and consult with engineering and manufacturing teammates to ensure that designs are feasible
• Work with control engineer to optimize the sequence flow through the design optimization
• Design for manufacturing DFM
• Project management and participate in assembly, installation, operation, troubleshooting of equipment
• Prepare BOM, Operation Manual, Training Manual, etc.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

• Open to fresh graduates or candidates with minimal experience

• Candidates with design experience in equipment precision design and automation, preferably in Semiconductor Industry, is advantageous

• Willing to support work outside of office hours when required
